Everyone 16 years of age and older who operates a motorboat over 25 horsepower on New Hampshire waters must have a boating education certificate. However, all boaters are encouraged to get their certificate.

By attending one of the NH Marine Patrol Boater's Education classes in the Lakes Region, you will gain valuable knowledge for boating on the big lake and surrounding waters. The State proctored examination is included with the classroom course and is given during the last hour of the class.
