The New Horizons Band of the Lakes Region is proud to host the State-wide New
Horizon Bands of New Hampshire “Music for Everyone” Concert on Saturday, April 1 st at 4:15 pm at the Meredith Community Center, Meredith, NH. The New Horizons International Music Association “provides entry point positions to music making for adults, including those with no musical experience at all and also those who were active in school music programs but have been inactive for a long period of time. Many adults would like an opportunity to learn music in a group setting similar to that offered in schools. The New Horizon Bands provide music instruction at all levels from beginner to advanced.” On April 1 st , this one-day event will begin with musicians in New Hampshire’s four bands meeting for the first time together to rehearse the afternoon’s concert under the direction of Maria Isaak of Concord, Debbi Gibson of the Lakes Region, Donna Morse and Phil Crotto of Monadnock and Russ Grazier of Portsmouth. The New Hampshire Classroom Course covers a variety of topics including boat navigation, boating safety equipment, invasive aquatic species and laws and rules. This instructor-led class incorporates a range of learning methods consisting of lecture, videos, and student discussion. Upon successful completion of the course, students will leave with a boating certificate which is valid for 45 days.
