There were twelve drummers drumming and twelve waterfront sales on Winnipesaukee in November! The residential home inventory in the twelve communities covered in this Lakes Region market report dropped to 1,023 listings as of December 1, down from 1,120 in November and 1,168 as of December 1, 2011. This inventory level represents a 13 month supply of homes on the market which is the lowest we've seen in a long, long time. Maybe, there really is a Santa Claus.

Posted 10-27-2012 at 01:18 PM by Roy Sanborn

I got thinking about some of the classic costumes kids wear and realized that most of these costumes ďfitĒ pretty well on real estate agents. While they may not be as visible as the ones the kids wear, they are pretty apparent once you describe them. Sometimes you see it in the way they act, their mannerisms, and how they conduct business....

Instant Gratification

Posted 09-30-2012 at 05:53 PM by Roy Sanborn

There were 93 residential home sales at an average price of $345,705 in August in the Lakes Region communities covered by this report. Thatís a 12% bump up from last August when there were 83 homes sold at an average of $330,718. Thatís a pretty good month in my book, but we still havenít made that magic 100 sales in a month this summer that I was looking for. Maybe weíll make it in September?

I've been busy this week with three home inspections which is great and means I am selling something. Well, sometimes that is. Sometimes, things come unglued because of the home inspection process. Sometimes not. I gotta remember to bring wool socks to my next inspection. It could mean the difference between a successful inspection or not.

The most important step for a home buyer, after...

The Winnipesaukee Tunnel Project

Posted 08-28-2012 at 02:10 PM by Roy Sanborn

It is kind of like the national monthly job numbers; always...
