A Great Boating Option on Lake Winnipesaukee
Summer is coming. Trust me. It will be here before you know it! This time of year many people start to think about buying a place on the water so they can enjoy everything the Lakes Region has to offer from their own home base. We often have buyers that aren’t quite up to speed on how much homes really cost on the lakes and are looking for...

Three Real Estate Myths?
A recent article on the Fox Business News website by Brendon DeSimone cautioned readers not to be fooled by three real estate myths. Hey, what do you know, Real Estate Mythology! The first myth was that spring is the best time to sell a home. It has long been the conventional...

Lakes Region of NH Waterfront Sales - March 2013
There were five waterfront sales on Lake Winnipesaukee in March, 2013 at an average price of $869,200. Two of those sales did break the million dollar mark. Last March we had a banner month with fourteen sales at an average of $797,086! So things do seem to be a bit off so far this year on the big lake. For the 1st quarter of the year there...

There were three sales in February on Lake Winnipesaukee at an average of $1.26 million. That’s down from last February when we had seven sales that were all below the million dollar mark resulting in an average price of just $606,429. While the total number of sales are down this year so far, at least a few high dollar properties are moving.

Again no diving - apparently I have a touch of bronchitis. Hope it goes away soon. Getting the itch to get back in real bad. Ice-Out was declared yesterday, April 17. I guess I'm done at Center Harbor until next winter.

There were 54 residential home sales in January in the Lakes Region communities covered by this real estate market report. The average sales price was $189,399 and the median price came in at $169,430. I thought that was pretty dismal until I looked at last January’s sales numbers and realized we only had 48 sales then. Even though last January’s average sales price was higher at $295,068 and the median...

It seems like every day you hear about something unexpected happening. Like the unexpected rise in unemployment claims, or the unexpected drop in the nation’s gross domestic product, or that the Pope unexpectedly is going to step down. Well, two out of three have pretty much become expected. But just to keep it rolling, unexpectedly there was only one waterfront home sold on Lake Winnipesaukee in January....

According to what I have read on-line, the most popular house color, not surprisingly, is white. All you have to do is look around good old New England and you can see quaint villages full of white houses, churches, and town buildings. According to one article, 37% of homeowners would choose white as the predominate color if they were to repaint the exterior of their home.
I’d say...

Since the entire thread was closed, I thought this post would be a good answer instead of repetitive posts on various threads. Safety threads don't do too well on this forum for some reason.

There are many Forum members with loved ones in the military. Since this topic is non lake related, I am starting this blog dedicated to our nation's heroes.
It would be great if you could post here and share your stories and experiences with your Forum family.
Since becoming friends with WinnDixie and learning about her grandson, it has really personalized our troops for me.
I have a renewed mission to do a little something to support our troops. Thanks...
