Day 1

We arrived today for a week on the Lake. I am going to post at least once a day to this blog with some comments, observations and a summary of what we did. A few hours ago we returned from the college graduation and early dinner celebration for our 1st child, daughter Lauren. Boy how quickly time passes. Our other child, Jonathan, graduates from High School soon and is off to college in September.

So today as my kids grow, mature, and develop just as they are supposed to do, I'm full of many different emotions.

As I sit here today I am beyond excited. My wife and I have spent the past two days doing little projects around our home. All in preparation for our trip up to the Island. We will be spending almost the entire summer on the island.

I really like this time of year things quiet down.I went to the VK for breakfast today,the first time since May, no lines! I can enjoy the lake we all love so well with no crowds. Even going out on a crisp morning to pick up leaves is kind of nice.I guess the only thing I miss are the longer days it gets dark too early this time of year.
