The 1:30 pm Mother's Day cruise was sold out! There is great feedback on Facebook saying that the food was delicious and entrainment was fun. Many of the passengers got to enjoy a tour of the engine room.

Congratulations to Mount Washington Cruises for a successful start to the 2010 season!

We just got in from the Full Moon Cruise on the M/S Mount Washington. What an absolutely perfect night out on the lake. We couldn't have picked a prettier night. The sunset was beautiful. The full moon was spectacular. What an asset the Mount is to our area.
You went right by our house in West Alton when the Mount came between Sleepers, Cub and Treasure Islands and the mainland near Minge Cove. Several of our neighbors rang bells as she came by, and the Capt. blew the whistle. It was a beautiful night for a cruise.

It was also very interesting to see how many homes/cottages along the shores flash their outside lights at the Mount as she cruises past their properties. If our schedule permits, I'd like to get in a ride a week for the rest of the season on one of the 3 vessels.

We love it when the Mount comes cruising by our place! If I'm there, I will always go to the dock and wave. With the new engines being so quiet, she keeps sneaking up on me, so occasionally I miss her! :laugh: We flash the lights at night too.

Looking forward to another cruise or two or three - there are still so many to choose from! :D

In the spring, we did in fact purchase a season pass...and 3 weeks later I decided it would be a fun place to work for the summer. Guess what one of the employee perks is...you guessed it! Riding on the ships! :emb: I am having fun with the part time job. Riding the ships is right up there with driving my RagTop!! :cool:

I hope you all get a chance to enjoy a ride in the Mount, the Sophie C and the Doris E this summer

Please don't cry trfour! ;) My meaning was that I occasionally miss her physically coming by.

I must admit that occasionally I do miss the distinctive rattle of her old power plants, but I am on board with the new and improved Cats.

I simply love The Mount and her rich history! :D
