The lake temp went from 39 to 43 in one week according to this site and up to 45 on the Blackcat site.
Bring it on!!

My fish finder has a water temp sensor and it got as high as 54 degrees on Saturday. Of course that's only submerged about 2.5 feet below the surface. I was so hot the thought of jumping in crossed my mind a few times, but a little splash of water to the face was a grim reminder that jumping in would have been painfully cold. If the warm weather keeps up it won't be to long....

After the first 60 seconds, the cold water doesn't seem all that freez'n. It just seems cold. On Saturday I was in up to my neck for about 15 minutes wearing just a bathing suit and sneakers while doing the annual rite of positioning the boat lift and dock with a big railroad prybar. The 80-degree sunshine definately helped!
Three paddlers in kayaks passed by who stopped to chitchat for a minute. I said that standing in neck-deep water is probably a totally different experience than falling into water over one's head. One of them, a women, said I looked like I was cold. The cold water is definately doable, you just have to tell yourself that you can do it!:o

HA, not if I can help it,,,
So I'm guessing you dont watch Seinfeld ???
40 degree water could cause irreversible shrinkage!
I suggest someone organize a Winnipesaukee tepefaction event.
It will take all the boats we can muster, and the more HP the better!
With any luck we might be able to nudge the temp up the the modest shrinkage range,,,
Anyone up for it??? :rolleye2:
I didn't see it, but was told someone was water skiing in front of the Libby Museum this past weekend.
