A reliable source told me on Friday that Smitty's Cinema (Franklin/Tilton Line) will be upgrading to full digital capability, and 3D!!! They will become the ONLY theater north of Hooksett with this capability!

The work is expected to be done and ready in May! I'm so glad - these movies that I've wanted to see in 3D will finally be closer than Hooksett, so I might actually be able to go see them!

Is that the one with the Cadilac seats and served food while you are watching a movie?

Saw Alice in Wonderland with the grandkids at the IMAX theater in Hooksett. 3D effect was amazing!

Yes that is the one. I believe they are Lincoln Towncar seats, but hey--comfy is comfy while watching a show. I haven't heard this yet but am so looking forward to it.

Great news! Yea!

They also do some free movies (usually it's something already on DVD) - like a 'mom-n-me' time out with a full menu. The oldest Arglet loves to eat an sundae while watching a movie - smart kid!

In Hooksett, off exit 10 does second runs at matinee prices of $3.00. Of course, they make it up at the snack bar.
