I can't believe that I am saying this, but I hope that they have plenty of snow in March for the races.

Went to the Laconia Dog Sled Derby yesterday (Feb 12), and had a fantastic time. Not sure who was more excited, the people or the dogs !

Went early, around 8am, and was able to see the 6 dog sled race, what excitement ! Positiioned my self on the Parade Rd race route, and was able to take some fabulous pics and movies. You can also go tot he 'Start/End' line and see the dogs, sleds and Race drivers up close. Everyone was very friendly, and willing to talk about their sport.

If you want to have a fun time, take yourself and family down and watch the races today (Sun 2/13).

Still some races races to run today (Sun 2/13):
Junior Race - 12:00pm
Open Class - 1:00pm
Beleive they may be last raace around 2-3pm ? Check schedule.

Have a great time, get outdoors and enjoy yourself ! Winter is almost over !:)

Yup,those are dog gone good photos.A few are a little ruff but all in all very fur-st rate.It looks like she paw-sitioned herself in a great spot.Howl you top those next year?:laugh:

The boss, AKA, "she who must be obeyed" found a great spot and got herself down to "dog eye" level. The long lens helped with the shots that look like she is about to get run over. :eek:

It was alot of fun, and I canl tell you, they were moving fast! We saw a 7 or 8 teams come thru, and she has many more pics that I didn't post.
