The Winni Playhouse's new community production begins this weekend, February 12-14 and 19-21. The Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 pm, Sunday matinees are at 2. Call 603-366-7377 for ticket information.

This show is "The Laramie Project" which is based on real life interviews and reactions to the murder of a college student, Matthew Shepard, in Laramie, Wyoming. The play contains adult language and subject matter.

The Winni Playhouse is an award winning nonprofit which is located in Laconia, NH and is dedicated to bringing year-round theatre and arts to the Lakes Region. This production is by their community theatre group and promises to be a very compelling production.

The run of The Laramie Project has been absolutely fantastic. Audiences have been very moved by the production and the entire run was pretty much sold out. The last performances is today - Sunday - at 2pm. It was sold out, however, a small handful of tickets have opened up. If you are interested, I would recommend calling 366-7377 to reserve! Esp. if you were one of the people who called when we were sold out and chose not to go on the waiting list.
