I was curious, does anyone have any suggestions for specific locations on the lake where photos can be taken of a boat and/or people that offers the very BEST background scenery? A place that has the "Wow" effect and really represents all of Lake Winni/NH, but fits into a single frame of film. For now I am interested in a spot where someone could anchor safely (without upsetting any residents of course) and walk around in shallow water.
The location should be one that includes multiple scenic elements that "fill the frame" from the foreground to the far background such as the tallest mountains, edge of cove or point of an island, distinct rock outcrops/boulders, special tree(s). A man-made feature is OK too if it could be considered classic-looking (something made out of wood for instance). If the time of day is critical to the location please note this also. I'm also interested in locations like this where the sunset could be included in the shot for backlighting.
Recently by chance I realized that the cove just to the north of Patrician Shores at Farrar Point works quite well looking toward the north/northeast off the edge of the point toward the Ossipee Mtns. There are shorelines on either side of the mountain view (the point is one) that fill the middle ground area of the frame.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a couple of ideas, but I was hoping a serious amateur or maybe even a pro might be able to point me in the right direction (it aint called the "Big Lake" for nuthin!). Thanks, and enjoy the summer!!
