Does anyone know of a good satellite dish installer in the Moultonborough area? Mine needs a tune up!

I have used Orbit Satellite and Sound Systems out of Tilton and they are terrific. No extra charges, upfront and knowledgeable. They are up this way all the time. 286-2253. Excellent sound systems at their shop in downtown Tilton, plus furniture for your new flatscreen. Just tell them your budget and they don't fool around to oversell you stuff. Will also explain the differences/benefits of Dish vs Direct TV, etc.

Spend the extra money on the good wiring.

I too recently used Orbit Satellite in Tilton to hook up service at my camp. Great service with fair prices. I would definitely recommend also!

Just curious...Have you confirmed that both Dish Network or Direct TV do not work where you are at?? Both use a different angle to access satellites. If I remember correctly I believe Dish Networks satellite is almost due south / slightly south-east and Direct TV is south-west which may work better for you.

A good installer will find a way to get a signal. It only takes a small hole through the tress to get access. I had a portable dish in my RV that I used for years in areas I never thought would work but always did.

Good Luck!

Thanks Dan. No i have not tried at all yet. I was told by original owner that satellite would not work. ( no clear veiw of the southern sky ) They used cable. But i did not know about the different directions by different companys. Always thought they used the same satellite.thank you for the info.

As of last year when we had to reluctantly leave Direct TV for cable because we could not get signal to the HD satellite, they both use the same HD satellite and it is lower in the sky than the standard satellites for both services. Just remember that that small hole changes with the seasons and weather as that was our installation. Short of scalping the entire side hill of my property we would not be able to go back to a dish service which we enjoyed much more than Comcast and for half the price with more options.

I feel your pain !!!!!! Believe me. I had the same HD set up with tivo and i miss it.:(Direct tv was awsome. Not that i lived in front of the tv, but when i did i wanted to watch some thing good. Does anybody know on basic cable what channel the sox play on. I know it's on regular tv now because of the playoffs but what were they on?

All the games in the regular season were on NESN (Channel 34 with Time Warner). Of course, there were the few Red Sox/Yankees games that were only on FOX.

TBS still has the rights for post-season play.
