Moose Island Info and opinions wanted.

Looking at a camp on Moose Island. I really don't know too much about that island. Any info that anyone can share would be greatly appreciated.

4 lots /2 unbuildable.
No power but the wind seems to be blowing all the time which might make it perfect for a wind turbine. I think the place for sale is 1/10 acre which will make the 50 foot setbacks quite a challenge.
A great place to be one with nature.
One nice feature is the markers probably keep the close boats away.
Looks about as Rockey as my yard and is part of the same volcanic ring that rattlesnake island and gunstock are part of.

I would be careful that if you buy it you might not be able to expand it so make sure you love it or check with the State.

You might also want to be careful about where the boundary lines really are. The maps for some of the properties that haven't turned over in years and years are somewhat inconsistent and confused in Alton and probably everywhere for that matter. I know there was a problem about where the lines were on Moose Island recently.
