Was anyone else trying to figure out who the entertainment was at Bahre's annual party last night? We live about a mile away across the water and can hear the band when the lake is quiet. Each year we try to guess in advance who the entertainment might be based on who is playing at Meadowbrook or other nearby venues on adjacent evenings. The last couple years we have gotten in our boat and headed over to Clay Point to be able to hear better. Last year he had Reba McEntire (who called Stephen Tyler up to help her with an encore). Best I could figure this year, it was Hank Williams Jr. I heard some southern rock near the beginning that sounded like Lynyrd Skynyrd but then I heard the Monday Night Football theme song ("Are you ready for some football....?) and couldn't figure out who else would have been singing that. We didn't stick around long though so I never verified it (and am also not a big Hank afficionado so perhaps would not have been able to verify it). Just curious if anyone else heard it.

Long Pine!.... Some long time friends of mine lived in Gilford and got to listen to all the concerts at Meadowbrook without buying a ticket. They lived on Old Lakeshore Road. Well, to make a long story short, they missed me so much that they moved here to Texas and are again my favorite neighbors!
On the Monday night football front, Hank Williams jr did a great job but
Shania Twain replaced him and I'm looking forward to seeing her kick off
the new NFL season here.

Annual party? Darn my invite must have got lost in the mail again.

When we had a slip at Mountain View, we could here sounds from Meadowbrook, but not really make out who was playing. I did see Wille Nelson drive up in his Winnibago.
