The 2009-2010 Season has Officially started.

We had our first Trail Work Party last Saturday. Our main project is to finish the work we started last year on the “Meredith Trail”, Corridor 15. We have several bridges that need to be re-built in the Moultonboro Neck Trail System.

Grant money for Trails and New Equipment was really tight the year. Of the Total we requested for Trail work we were granted only about a third of it. Even though these projects are “SHOVEL READY”, none of it qualifies for the Stymyouless Program. I am serious as I did contact NHSA, BOT, DRED and all replied sorry NO.

Trail Map update
We will be updating our Trail Map this year. We will be concentrating with a more detailed presentation of the Moultonboro Trail System. There is a possibility the map will include GPS waypoints.

As part of our 2009-2010 Membership Renewal program we will be offering free shipping with every map purchased when renewing your membership before November 1st.

The Membership renewal mailing will go out around September 8th. Our first Club meeting is scheduled for October 3rd, location and time to be announced. Last year we had the largest number of members in the Clubs forty year history. We are hoping to have you all back as member again this year.

It’s never too early to SNOWDANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can count on my membership again this year. If possible, I would love to get out this fall and help with some trail work if my schedule lets me. Moultonboro has done a fantastic job over the past few years with re-routes, trail maintenence, and grooming. Ossippee sets the bar high because they get much more snow than us over here. MSC is doing a great job though!

My son and I try to get out on a Sat work party a couple of times a year. I think they meet at the barn at 8 but I'm sure George will chime in.

There is something pretty cool riding over a trail you widened or bridge you helped rebuild!

I'm sending my membership off this week. I don't mind paying that at all, but the registration fee kind of stings.
