I'm predicting an early ice-out and here's why.

If you check the water temperatures this year they are not as low as in past years. Its been 35 for the whole month of February. In past years the temp bottoms out at 33. Does this higher temperature under the ice have anything to do with all the vehicles that have gone through this year? Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.

The other factor is the lack of a decent snow pack to insulate the ice from the sun. Some warm early spring days and the unblocked intensity of the sun will really accelerate the melting.

It's just a guess but I'll bet on early April!
