I would like to formally thank Mount Washington Cruises (http://www.cruisenh.com/) for hosting our ForumFest event.
It is amazingly generous of them to donate the proceeds of our tickets to this year’s charity.

Buying your tickets - Tickets will be sold in the Steamboat Lounge when you get your name tag.

Hope to see you there!

I'd like to formally thank Celia (Rattlesnake Gal) for taking the lead on planning ForumFest this year. She has worked hard behind the scenes negotiating with the Mount and other potential locations.

Those of you who have been forum members for several years know that usually someone steps forward in August to plan the FF and make the arrangements. Everyone's efforts have been greatly appreciated but sometimes we do cut it very close. Thanks to Celia we've got an early start this year which should help with attendance and fundraising.

There were some potential negatives to having it on the Mount (like not being able to just drop by) but I think the positives far outweigh them:

The Mount will donate 100% of the $10 ticket cost to our charity.
They will provide use of the Steamboat Lounge for our activities.
They will allow us to bring on our own food and refreshments.
Other passengers can purchase raffle tickets and participate.
They will help promote the FF.

The Citizen wants to help promote and cover the FF this year in a major way. All this publicity and advanced planning will hopefully make it a big success.

Celia is doing a great job but she can't do it alone. If you've helped plan it in the past or just want to help in some way please contact her. Thanks again Celia for getting this going early this year!

I would like to thank you Don for all of your input and ideas. Thanks for the website too! Without you, none of us would be friends.

I would like to thank this years ForumFest Committee, IG, DRH, Islandsib, Argie’s Wife, Steve A and Meredith Lady. They were a tremendous help in getting everything right. Thanks for your valuable input and for putting up with all the e-mails. I couldn’t have accomplished it without you.

Sincerely,

RG

Are you wondering just what ForumFest is?

ForumFest

Main Entry: fo-rum-fest
Function: noun
Pronunciation: \’for-em fest\

ForumFest is the informal name given to what has become an annual gathering of Winnipesaukee.com Forum members. ForumFest is a great place to meet other Forum members, to match faces to screen names and avatars and to have a great time conversing with other Lake Winnipesaukee lovers. Usually a raffle is held to support a local cause.

It is all here in Winnipesaukee.com’s ForumFest – How the Tradition Began. (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7716)

There has been a change in the location of where to buy tickets - When you get on board, go to the Steamboat Lounge where Winnipesaukee.com will be gathering. You will purchase the tickets as you sign in for ForumFest VI. The tickets will be taken as we disembark from the Mount on our return to the Weirs Pier.
