Sorry to hear, and hope for a good recovery.

I have heard that heart attacks are an occupational hazard when working in the real estate biz due to the nature of the job. Long hours being sedentary at a desk, talking on the phone, talking in-person to clients and then driving out to properties for a look-see with little to no physical exercise..

Could be that trading in their Lexus' for a bicycle built-for-two, and then peddlng out to view properties could be good conditioning for both the broker and client. :D

...ok...start slamming me for poorly timed comments, I can take it..... :)

To My fellow Forum Members,

I am very touched by the wonderful words of encouragement and support from everyone.

The Dr's said it was a bad one (heart attack) but that the damage was not too bad and I should have a near full recovery back close to where I was before. I did have a stent implanted in the area of the blockage that caused the heart attack.

I cannot say enough about Catholic Medical Center, CMC, in Manchester and the care I received. I do not think I would be here today if it was not for them. (My heart stopped during the implant procedure.) Can you say Clear!

So I will be at home for a few weeks on R&R and looking in here and watching for Ice Out!

Again thank you to everyone - it really helps when you are not feeling up to your best to get wishes for your return to health from my fellow Forum members.

Welcome Back and get well soon. My Dad and my grandmother (now 90) had some heart work done at CMC, they are the best. Don't let anyone tell you that Boston hospitals are better.

"...Don't know Just Sold, but read many of his posts.
I was introduced to Just Sold briefly a few years ago, and it certainly personalized the original post!

I was distressed and am now hearing the great news of a near-full recovery. :)

Having a heart patient in my family, I know what you are going through. Best wishes for a Speedy Recovery.
Ditto.

I have a minor heart problem myself (right bundle-branch block), and my Dad had a quadruple bypass when he ran out of get-up-and-go.

Last year, his doctor told him, "The warranty has run out on your bypass surgery". However, it's been all-good—without further interventions—for over thirty years! :D

Medically, at least, we live in wondrous times.

"...I should have a near full recovery back close to where I was before. I did have a stent implanted in the area of the blockage that caused the heart attack..." That's great news.

While it's fresh in your mind, do you have any advice for the rest of us "sedentary types" regarding statin drugs and daily walks? (Not so much for jogging, I'm hearing).

I've also heard that having a stent is actually good news for a heart patient: Some have had coatings applied that extend the useful life of a stent, unlike the stent that plagued former VP Cheney.

Is a coated stent the one you received?

Ken:

Welcome home. I, and many others, share your respect for CMC.

There are some members who are close to me will also agree that prayers work. No BS.

PS. Sounds like a great time for you to call the CG Auxiliary or the USPS and take a NAV course!

Again, great news! Misty Blue

As mentioned before,CMC is a top shelf cardiac facility. When dad had his quad bypass 10 years ago I was very impressed to say the least. And it's only about 8 blocks from where I sit right now.Good to hear from JS that all is going well.

Chin up, just sold. you'll be better than before in no time, I have had six stents put in, all on the front part of my heart over the last 4 years and I am feeling better than I have in a long time. Squaredancing every week, fishing, walking and working in the yard. So no worry's, be happy!

As the great and powerful wizard of Oz said in 1939

A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.

From what I am reading, your heart beats just fine.
Get well my friend.
