I recently moved into the area and I'm trying to find a good hair stylist/colorist. I would like them to be located in the area of Wolfeboro, Moultonborough, Meredith. I would appreciate any insight anyone might be able to give me. Thanks!

Check out Fashion Forward in Moultonborough. They are right on 25 before you get into Center Harbor.

I use Miami Salon on Rte 25 (Moultonboro side of Center Harbor). Pricey, but great coloring. I had been using another shop but quality was not there and I had to find somewhere better.

Thanks for the suggestions...do you recommend a specific person in any of these salons?

I use Mad Cutter II in Moultonboro-Both Cathy and Darlene are great! Reasonable, friendly, and they do a great job. Others must think so, as they are always busy!! They are located right across the street from Chickadee Station (near the new Subway). Hope this helps!

Shelly at Miami Salon colors and cuts my hair. I have heard good things about Mad Cutter II as well.

Martguerita, the owner of Miami Salon is very skilled and is certified in hair color which is her specialty. Give the Salon a try.

My vote also goes to Margarita at Miami Hair- especially for color expertise. Great highlights and lowlights etc.

I live in Moultonboro, have short, untame-able, wiry and gray(ish) !! hair. I have been going to Sue Campo, owner of Che Bella, on Union Ave in Laconia. I actually found her as a result of our permanent move to NH in 2003-I posted a similar query on this site, and somebody suggested Sue. She's great with cut and color and fairly priced.

Beyond the Basics in Wolfeboro is the best around for color and cut. Have the owner(Todd) or his wife(Sara) or daughter(Victoria) do color or cut. I searched for years up here and they are the only ones that have been consistant each and every time. 603-569-2099

My wife swears by Beth at Salon 831 on Union Ave in Laconia, right next door to Fratello's.
Hope this helps,

I usually don't go to franchise salons due to their tendency to hire inexperienced, fresh out of school employee's. Not that they don't do a good job, but my hair is thick, curly and long, and a definate no no for someone who is not experienced. My best friend's eyebrows were looking marvelous so of course I inquired. I was sent to Grace at Hair Excitement in the Belknap Mall. She has a little over 25 years experience and has done wonders for my hair. Her assistant manager Michelle is also a great stand in when Grace and my schedule's don't match up. There are 3 people I will allow to cut my hair, Michelle and Grace are two, another is not in the Lakes Region, and not very economical either. Good luck
