Now that the pipes are drained and the drains are filled with anti freeze, we have started to think and plan (dream about) our winter trips.

My question is around snowmobile storage and specifically if there are any facilities that could store our sleds to avoid towing them 3 + hours each way every time we want to go up? We are looking for a storage facility with 24hr access and direct access to either the lake or a trail that leads to the lake. As we are on Rattlesnake, we would prefer Gilford or Alton. We will most likely tow but I thought I would throw it out there and see what options there may be that I have not found.

What about Ames Farm?Do they provide this same service in winter as they do with boats in the summer?Worth looking at.

They are located right off Rt. 11 in Gilford - also right on the snowmobile trail. Open up the storage unit door and drive right out. Access to the lake is easy via Patricks, B-Mae's and on to the lake at Gilford Beach.

There is also a self-storage facility on Rt. 11 in Alton Bay right next to Precious Gardens (approx. 1/2 mile west of Sandy Point). Don't know if any trails run nearby, but perhaps one of the Mt. Major club members would know.

There were a few options at the ones we called, most averaged $85 per month for a self service 10ft x 10ft bay, the next was a 10ft x 12ft and that was $115 per month.

We only snowmobile in the lakes region, so storing the sleds for three to four months to avoid the trailering may not be a bad option for us.
