The one across the bridge requires a MOULTONBORO TOWN sticker/permit. (and they absolutely check for these!) The one on the end of the island (follow Long Island Rd to Harrilla Landing) is public....but parking can be a challenge on weekends. For residents who launch at the bridge - seeing and waiting for a non-resident trying to launch there creates - um - well let's call them - some tense moments. :rolleye2:
Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day the launch on the island nearest the bridge can be used by public without permits (I think).

When I stay at the Long Island Bridge Campground, I was told to use that ramp. I can't leave my truck and trailer there though.
The campground is one of the best 'boater friendly' campground I have seen. You can rent a mooring if available and they have plenty of parking for boat trailers.
Does anyone knows of another 'boater friendly' campground with basic amenities?

It may be true that you can launch but cannot park ??? So for MOST - that would not be a good launch site - but for the campground I guess it makes sense. Still that launch is technically a TOWN permitted launch site.
I cannot understand why the campground doesn't use some of its waterfront for a launch of its own????

There is also a public launch right across the street from Trexler's Marina Showroom. It's just to the right of the Quayside Yacht Club Club House. Again, there is no parking available but anyone can launch there.

If you camp at the campground even for 1 day only...you are a moultonboro resident(for the day) and are allowed to launch there. Wildwood you are correct though and do need a permit to park. But are allowed to purchase one because your are staying at the campground.
