this past weekend just hanging out in Orchard Cove with two other boats (we were very quiet and anchored near no one (land or lake). A MP came over (from a call in the cove) that Orchard is now a no-rafting zone. Both of my maps did not indicate a no-rafting zone (older green and 4th edition Bizer) What gives? I did not see the change on Bizer's web site either. Anyone have any other info?
By the way the MP officer was extremely nice and professional and did not give us a ticket. thanks

... I did not see the change on Bizer's web site either. ...Bizer's web page only lists updates for the two most-recent editions. Orchard cove has been listed as a no-rafting area for the past three editions of Bizer's chart.

My Bizer 6th edition shows no rafting in Orchard cove.I believe this edition is at least 3 years old.

FYI, 7th is the latest per Bizer website. It should have a May date on the map near the "B".

If you are a single boat are you considered rafting. Have been in there.

No.3 or more constitutes a raft.
Orchard Cove has been a no rafting zone for a long time now. My map is 2001 edition and it was no rafting then and may have been even before then.
I am more curious about why there was a call and why was the marine patrol talking to you about rafting when you were not rafting.

"hanging out in Orchard Cove with two other boats" could be rafting depending on how far apart they were.
Ok, I reread the original post and while the poster did not say they were tied together, maybe they were. The poster says they were hanging out with two other boats. Maybe I incorrectly assumed they were anchored separately.
