I'm a little confused. You say "almost" closed on a Crownline 180, but then go on to say "got it from Kory". If you did buy it....congrats. If not, what happened?

We are going to the show tomorrow (mon.), but already have a new 232 Captiva on order from Silver Sands. It,(the show), will be a nice diversion from the winter doldrums.

Paugus Bay isn't such a bad place.
So long as you beat the traffic and your out of the bay by 9:30 am. I find if I do not get through the channel by that time it's like hitting the toll booths on a holiday weekend. I rack at PBM. Good luck with your new boat, Kory is a great guy. I'm glad to see he recovered fully from last years accident.

I went down yesterday and it was a mob scene. My kids (3 and 5) had a great time though checking out all the big sport and sail boats.

I would guess they will not start really moving boats until the Monday after the show. I have never seen it done, but I can guess it must take a least 3 to 4 days to move all those boats in and out.

Have Fun

I'm working the show. We're not allowed to start breaking down until 6:30 on Sunday, the end of the show. Some dealers will break the rules and start breaking down a bit early, but usually no earlier than an hour before close...your fine going on Sunday. Enjoy!

I would go early if you go on Sunday, just to be safe. It is not as much fun running around with time running out, and some dealers do put some things away early. Also, some places have a limited supply of brochures, freebies, etc. and may run out by the end. This happened with the travel show recently, too...some booths for certain destinations ran out of their handouts.

Also, some dealers only have a certain supply of boats to sell for the week. I went on the last day last year and saw this with Gillan Marine. They had the boat I wanted at the price I wanted, but had a limited supply for the show that week. The color I wanted was sold out, so I needed to choose a different color if I wanted that boat at that price. People going earlier in the week had a greater selection to shop from.

They will be open and selling up to the last hour on Sunday...but you'll do better the earlier you can go.

Went yesterday, this was the first and last time I'll go on a weekend, what a nightmare, (I usually do a weeknight...). Too many people that were just there for something to do, it was like Chuck e Cheese with boats... More or less, same product but sales people seemed a bit more aggressive & less knowledgeable this year.

Although, I may be a bit jaded after just coming back from 6 days in Miami doing that show - unreal!

I went yesterday (Monday) and it was definitely a good time to be there... not too crowded at all. Didn't buy a boat but got lots of ideas to dream about.

"What "accident"? Boating accident? He seemed fine to me. "

I believe Kory was one of the employees injured during a refueling incident last summer. He's lucky to be alive. Do a search on the archives and you'll find mention of it.

how does it go from someone making a mistake of putting fuel in the waste tank.to bigger boats being less safe.it doesnt matter if it is a $10.000 boat or a $400.000 boat.the same mistake can be made.just hope everyone learns by it

Saw many nice boats last weekend there. The kind of boats you dream that a good friend would buy.
