Sanbornton Tax Increase

People who own property on Black Brook Road on Winnisquam and along Hermit Lake in Sanbornton can expect to see their portion of the town’s overall property tax bill go up considerably this year. The properties in these areas are proportionally going up more in assessed value than property in other neighborhoods. Some properties were also set higher because of the value their “views” add to the overall “fair market price”. Thanks for nothing Sanbornton.

Any chance those increases are payback to a certain former selectman who lives in that area and who successfully challenged Sanborton's methodology for assessing with the state board?
