What are some of your favorite local events scheduled for the area this coming Fourth of July weekend? Is there a schedule for fireworks on the lake? We will be in Wolfeboro for a long weekend and are looking forward to it.

I haven't seen a good fireworks schedule online, but really like the calendar of events in Boating Secrets free book (http://boatingsecrets.net/) that you can pick up around the lake. I believe Alton's fireworks are on the 3rd and Meredith Bay on the 4th.

We're also hoping to catch the rubber duckie race in Meredith on the 4th.

On Saturday, July 5th, at the Bandstand by the Town Docks in Wolfeboro the musical group playing will be "Annie and the Orphans". This group always draws a big crowd, and their music from the 50's, 60's and 70's appeals to all. Come early, get a good spot, no charge, donations welcome.

July 3 is also my oldest son's birthday - he's turning 7 this year. We have him thoroughly convinced that all the hoopla is for JUST FOR HIM! ;)
