Hopefully sunshine, margaritas on the deck while watching the boats go by at no wake speed if conditions call for it, taking the boat to dinner in Ctr. Harbor, toasting marshmallows over the fire, ghost stories by the fire, family, good times and memories to last a lifetime. I guess I'm in a glass half full instead of half empty kind of mood. :D

A lake wide no wake zone means, great salmon fishing on a nice quite lake.

I don't think you have to worry, they have only done it twice, I think. The second year they did it you only had to go slow close to shore.Once out of the bays you can hit the throttle.

Let's say there was an historic flood on the lake and throughout the rest of the state this year. Maybe the results wouldn't all be bad...

- The state ends up in the national spotlight

- all the major news websites post links to this forum where "the best on-site flood info and photos can be found."

- The Weather Channel reports live from Weirs Beach and uses our various cams on the air

- Regarding the above, all the men around here might get go down to the Weirs Boardwalk to pose for pictures with Stephanie Abrams and all the women might get to pose for pictures with Jim Cantore

- Anyone who wants to get away with the excuse of "Fishing" can easily find some washed-up fish at the edge of the floodwaters to show as "proof"

- Some forum member whose property is affected gets interviewed on Good Morning America while wearing a Winnipesaukee.com T-shirt

- The NBC Today Show highlights the good deeds that a handful of forum members do to help with the flood

- NBC sends Michelle Kosinski to report live from a canoe in our floodwaters, and we watch live as FLL walks through the background, proving that it's only 6 inches deep

- Men in the area visit the scene and try to get Kosinski's phone number anyway

- After getting angry emails about Kosinski's screw-up (way to go, FLL! :D) NBC replaces her with Maria Menounos

- Men in the area visit the scene and propose marriage to Menounos

- Women in the area flock to Town Docks in Meredith where NBC's Matt Lauer is reporting live

- Biological history is made as Winni the Lake Monster get stranded on dry land when flood waters recede; scientists flock to Lake Winnipesaukee and all who claim to have seen the Loch Ness Monster suddenly feel vindicated.

- The recession ends as the science industry opens up tons of new jobs for anyone who wants to look for other lake monsters, bigfoot, abominable snowmen, and aliens... and they open even more positions for those qualified to study the newly-found species

- Captain Bonehead drowns

- The list goes on!

Patrick's Pub should plan ahead and apply for boat parking and a beach volleyball court. :rolleye1:

New waterfront property assesments for Gilford Village?

Beach Bar at Naswa installs a "swim up" bar

FLL starts a new business offering underwater tours of his former waterfront property. Tour highlights are his alum. boat that didn't "really sink" and his $225 2nd hand snow blower that still works perfectly. Uses the profits to pay his property taxes without complaining about them.:D
