There was an interesting article in the Laconia Citizen on GeoThermal wells. http://www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080219/GJBUSINESS02/607633271/-1/CITIZEN (http://www.citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080219/GJBUSINESS02/607633271/-1/CITIZEN) Is anyone using this? It seems that since we all have to stay warm during the winter, it’s important to look into alternates to hydrocarbon heat sources. Pulling heat from the earth, or the lake, are intriguing ideas.

I need to replace BOTH oil tank and boiler unit at end of heating season. What I have seen of geothermal in past month, my forced water baseboard system is not a match. Works better with forced warm air and new construction.
