Hi Guys and Gals,
I"M BACK! Remember the "Flotilla of Flags?" Well, I am going to do again, only something a little different, ON SNOW! This March 8th, at Attitash Mountain, they are having a "Military Day," with a flag parade down the mountain. The big flag, I used in the "Flotilla of Flags," was used again, to ski down Attitash, the winter after the Flotilla, in honor of the 10th Mountain Division. After which "our" flag, was retired and has been hanging in the base lodge at Attitash. I am invited to lead the parade, carrying that flag, down the mountain, again, on March 8th, and Attitash has asked me to ask anyone and everyone who would like to join in, to come up and bring a flag. This time, though, I will not be wearing the Eagle costume. I'm a good skiier, but NOT that good! So mark your calanders, and come on up! It should be a lot of fun and Attitash has a lot of things planned for that day!
More details (time) will follow as the plans finalize.

Eagle, I'll never forget the Flotilla of Flags (and the 100 plus flag carrying boats) you led around Winnie in 2001. It was what many of us needed after Sept 11. A special feeling that's hard to describe. It was extra special when the Marine Patrol vessel stopped and the officer saluted you, the flag(s) and the Eagle boat. As I recall, Island Girl was right behind the Sea Que.

you should see an image of the Eagle boat here but, for some reason it isn't working so here is a link to the photopost picture.

I'd love to join you on Military Day and show my patriotism but alas, I don't snow ski. Used to water ski in my younger (and healthier) days but never mastered snow skiing.

Will there be any way for non-skiers to participate?
Good luck and thanks.
