Not your regular classified ad recently posted over in the classifieds (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/classifieds). ...check it out....I have a 208k old pickup that needs a new thousand dollar catalytic converter because of that dopey new NH emissions law which I could donate but that's probably not a good fit. Anyone have or know of an ok cheapie car like a Ford Escort or something.

Typically, the classified has ads for things like boats and homes...this one kind of tugs at your emotions.

That does sound sad. :( Ever since I have read it I am racking my brains for knowledge of an inexpensive/free car. If anyone has any information available it sounds like it sure would be appreciated!

Hi - I saw it on www.craigslist.com for New Hampshire, January 31, in the 'for sale' section while perusing that category, and was moved to post it here. And, that's all I know.

Since she is from Laconia, and this website is centered around Laconia, I felt it was appropriate. Googled that phone number, 603 528 8086, and it's the Salvation Army in Laconia,

It's certainly understandable that it could be viewed as suspicious but I don't know and why not accept it for what it is...a try for help...a try to get a car....nothing ventured-nothing gained...yeah...walk a mile in her shoes...put yourself in her place...if that can be imagined.

You could spend a little more and receive more than a new catalytic converter...

Thanks for that, but I just bought a terrific '99 Ford Contour for $1500, from a cop in Portsmouth, with a 5-speed, and everything including the air conditioner works! Tore out the Clarion cd-disk radio and replaced it w/ a VIP analog-cassette $20 special, just like from 1968....what a car.

So, now I got three vehilcles...two Fords & a Chevy... total miles 458k, total years 29....yeah...I'm a rich waterfronter sure sure sure....how many waterfronters have cars like that?

You know you've gone NH hillbilly when you got three different cars in the yard and all of them have something not working! A Ford is f-o-r-e-v-e-r!:D
