Attached Pictures Showing As Attachments Rather Than As Pictures

I have previously attached pictures to posts and they showed as pictures. I attached 2 pictures to my latest post and they show as attachments. I then revisted a previous post of mine where the pics originally showed as pictures and they too now show as attachments. Anyone know why? Thanks.

the only way I know to attach the image as a picture is to load it into photopost, open the picture, right click on the picture for the pull down menu, and click properties. I have a picture of a wasp nest in photopost, and when I do that, here is what shows in "properties"

I copy (highlight the URL address and then hit ctrl + c) and then type then paste the URL by hitting ctrl + vthen type

I changed the one letter in the brackets from "g" to "p" you would type and

You can preview the post and see the picture, and then submit. here is what I ended up with.
