I sing it to the skies everyday - I love Alton!

What do I love about it?

I love the little gazebo in the middle of the tip of Alton Bay...

I love the little holiday parades and the great turnout for them from the members of this town. There's probably more people marching in the things than watching, but just the same, they're great...

I love our public schools!

I love our wonderful fire chief and new police chief - good guys who really try hard to serve and help our people.

I love our sense of community here and those who work hard to preserve it.

I love it that my family has been in this area for over 200 years and that my dad helped the build a lot of the homes around the Bay.


What is it that you LOVE about your LR town? What keeps you there? What makes it special...?:)

[Alton Bay]

I'm with you. Alton has the best Memorial Day parade. Watching all the veterans marching in their uniforms brings tears to my eyes every year. They still stand straight and tall even though many are well over 80.
It's small town life at its best.

I love how Alton kids get to celebrate the holidays at school. Alton believes the kids should learn about everyone's holidays and not ban them from the schools.

I also love the lake in the winter when it's quiet.
