Today was the day of the annual leave Danvers MA and take the kids (19,17, and 10) to Guiseppe's for lunch in Meredith and then follow 109 into Wolfeboro and go stand on the dock of the place we rent every year (we had permission of course!) and take winter pictures. What a serene place in winter-the comment from one of the kids was they dont like eating in long sleeves in Guiseppe's-they prefer the t shirts and bathing suits. What I would give to own a place up there.........anyway, its great to hear the kids tell the memories of summers past in the middle of winter. A lot of snow on the ground, and dowtown Wolfeboro was very busy. Jockey Cove, see you in August!!

What a great story coley. Its funny your trip was today, both myself and my 7 year old daughter took a minute today to stop the rest of the family to enjoy just how beautiful it was outside with the fresh blanket of snow and the bay iced over. We took an hour or so to go sliding over at the public beach and just take in the views today.

Of course that was after snow blowing for the 100 time so far this year....

Noobie to this forum. My 2nd post.
My wife and I lived in Danvers for many years before moving to Weston for 20 years and FINALLY retiring up here 4 years ago. We like the winter sports as much as the summer ones. It doesn't matter what side of the lake you're on or even what lake (we're on Province in Effingham) it' sure beats the traffic on 114, 128, 95, etc. :)

I'm typing this from the living room of a good friend's lake house in the lake's region of Maine. It's beautiful up here too. Two mornings in a row with a few inches of fresh snow covering the trees and ground.
