The Feds allow very few exceptions and are much more strict than the State of New Hampshire.

Short answer? No.

Go HERE (http://www.irs.gov/publications/p510/ch02.html) to read the particular details from the applicable IRS website .

Again, even with diesel the exceptions are extremely limited. There are no exemptions in either category of fuel for recreational use.

The form I linked (IRS 510) gives some very good examples in both categories of allowable and non allowable refunds.

Ah, recreational use must be the key. I know business use does get it. (I didn't read the link.)
