accident in Alton Bay

Does anyone know why we couldn't go through the Bay this afternoon? There was a blurb about an accident on Channel 9 news but no other info

I went through at 2 without any problems, however when I was going up Alton Mountain a cruiser went down the mountain going like heck with his lights and siren going. :)

We were headed to a friend's on 11E and there was a cruiser re-routing the traffic on to the old Rt. 11. The policeman did allow us to pass as we were only going about 100 yds. up the road. No idea what happened.
