Obviously a very smart leader.

I used to work for Alcatel (French Telecommunications Company) and went over to Paris fairly often. This time of year everyone is either on vacation elsewhere or on strike. The farmers close down the highways with tractors; wonderful stuff. So, it is no surprise that he is coming here. Maybe he will bring along some good wine. :D

France's president to vacation in Wolfeboro. (http://www.boston.com/news/local/new_hampshire/articles/2007/08/02/au_revoir_paris_hello_wolfeboro/)Here's a link (http://www.yankeepedlarrealtors.com/proddir/prod/110/727?RedirectURL=%2F-list_price%2F0%2F10%2F%3F)to the house where the Globe says Sarkozy might be staying. For $30k/week, you could stay there, too. Plenty of room for your helicopter, motorcade and flotilla.
I think that's right around the corner from Mitt. And it's in one of my favorite coves to anchor in.
Maybe someone should tell hime how horrible it is at the lake, try Squam instead, Fonda and Hepburn loved it.

It's our favorite cove, too. We like it so much that we make the run from Shep Browns just about every weekend to anchor there! :D
Though if he actually stays there, I suspect that we may get run out of there for the next few weekends! :(

We seem to have two threads going on this. I wrote on the other one (about choppers) that we took a ride through there yesterday. The big US Coast Guard boat, another MP boat coming in and a small aluminum boat with something sticking up from the middle of it. We didn't try to go in the cove, but I would be willing to be we wouldn't have been allowed.

My mom in Massachusetts heard that the President of France (kind of anxious to get out of France considering he just took over as President, isn't he?) is arriving on August 11th. We will be not be going to Wolfeboro after the 10th. It's a shame, really.
Thank goodness Alton has its own supermarket now. There would be no way to get to Hunters after next Saturday.

I'm reading that Sarkozy has been to Wolfeboro's Dockside, the Wright Museum, and the Boat Museum.
"...My mom in Massachusetts heard that the President of France (kind of anxious to get out of France considering he just took over as President, isn't he?)..."
All of France closes down for the month of August. Every Frenchman goes on vacation.
Obviously a very smart leader. But if you think the resulting traffic is bad, just wait til next summer, if Mitt is the GOP front-runner!
I've learned that Mitt speaks fluent French from the time that he did his missionary work in France. Here's a photo of Romney in the French Alps:

This is President Sarkozy's summer retreat. (Sorry about the watermarks, but this photo is currently in high demand.)

FlyGuy -- Thanks for the photo --
Where "exactly" on the Lake is the property ?? Of late we've been trying to hook up some of these large McMansions with names of owners. Makes it sort of fun when traveling the lake to say "and over there is Mitt's house -- or that's the Marriot complex " etc
