With just over a month to go before ForumFest IV, I thought this was a good time to post a picture of this year's ForumFest Quilt.

Thanks to "McDude" and "Rattlesnake Gal" for the use of their postcards and "DRH" for his Photoshop wizardry!

Really nice quilt, Quilt Lady.....but then, all your quilts have been very special. Hopefully, this next Forum Fest will top the others in attendance. Looking forward to seeing all the Old and especially...the NEW FF 'ers. :)

Are those pictures actually stiched in? I think there could be a fight over that quilt!

The images are not stitched. The process for creating the postcard blocks is called photo transfer. The postcard images were loaded into a computer where DRH worked his Photoshop magic removing flaws, postmarks and writing. The images were then printed on specially treated fabric using an inkjet printer, creating a unique piece of fabric.

The postcards were selected from the vast assortment found under "Postcards" on this site. I went through all of the postcards and selected 9 to make a trip around the lake with the MV Mt. Washington in the center.

The quilt is 42.5 inches square and 100% cotton. It was an interesting project to do and certainly unique. It has a label that states that it is the Official ForumFest IV Quilt.

I think there could be a fight over that quilt!

I think so.... especially if the single guy was to win it..... I already have one nice quilt that I won for charity... I spent a buck on a ticket.... My Aunts and mother spent over 100 combined ... not to mention what nieghbors and friends told me they spent... and I won.... It has almost disappeared on me a couple of times.....
