Earlier this year I installed a Stardot netcam xl on Ossipee Lake. This forum was very helpful in helping me choose my webcam, and also helped me through the installation process. The webcam is located on Broad Bay facing North West with Mt. Chocorua in the background. Here is a LINK (http://www.canoeking.com/ossipee-lake-cam.htm) to the Cam and a couple of my favorite images.

I'm catching someone who is enjoying a nice sail! (wish I were there!) Very nicely done! McD

That's a lucky lightning shot! I see your exposure on that image is shorter than 1 second (only 6000 - if the numbers mean the same as they do on my Netcam MP, then 50,000 = 1 second.)

The camera must have captured the image right at the moment lightning struck. I do tripod-mounted time exposures of lightning with the Canon SLR and still find results like yours aren't easy to get.

Congratulations!

Nice work... I've added your cam to my list of "must check" sites...

I agree with the other posters, paddler. You have an excellent view, and your webcam photos are outstanding!

The exposure time @ 6000 is 1/4 of a second. We were extremely lucky to catch the image on the webcam.

A few years ago the Anchor Marine CAM (managed by winnipesaukee.com) also got lucky and captured this lightning strike:

Just to be clear. I went to the site. It wasn't the posted picture that I thought was great, although that was why I went to the site. It was the live pictures that were awesome. Refresh rate is almost as good as live.

Paddler,

Nice cam!! I have a home over on Berry Bay. The far NW end where the brook comes in. I think I know where your cam is from the pics, but will not reveal on the net.

I made the cam a favorite on my list.:)

Great images paddler! Only the Stardot cameras can give the vivid colors.

What coding do you use in the overlay to get the line feed? I have wondered if there are undocumented ways to code the overlay, change text color for instance.

I'm not sure what you mean by "line feed". The Ossipee Lake Cam uses the default overlay. From what I understand there is a way to change the overlay.config file but I wouldn't know how to do it.

By line feed I meant how do you get the overlay to appear as more than one line instead of one long line at the top of the image. I figured it out, you hit "enter" at the end of each line. Now who would have thought of that?
