Just curious if anyone had ever seen this brochure before? I tried to buy it but got out bid at the end! I was curious to the year and contents of the brochure. I thought it would have been great to hang in my cabin on Rattlesnake! I've never seen one before and thought maybe some of you may have?

If the link doesn't work you can search with advanced search "completed items".
I would guess maybe early 50s. If you really want to know for sure you could call Bucky Melanson at Melanson's Many Facets, a jewelry store in the middle of Wolfeboro. He would know. His Dad developed it.

My Dad had a tent platform with a tent on it. I spent a few summers on the island before my Dad bought a place on the mainland near Samoset condominiums.

I bid and lost on the item as well. Had the same application in mind. When I informed Rattlesnake gal of my plan, she informed me that she had a scan of the item. I will bug her to post it on photo post with a link here. Can you imagine $8-16 dollars a month for a 200 foot lot lease?

I just added the flyer to photopost. Eventually I will clean it up and replace the photos. Cabin Fever found it in the attic of their cabin on Timber Island and thought I might like to see it. Thanks so much! :D

Thanks for the information and photos. The brochure seems to be very scarce. It is very interesting and I wonder how the venture did!
Odd also that all the lots are listed except mine (#121). It's skipped for some reason!

I'm not sure what exactly is meant by the depth notation?
McD. Thanks for posting that. It was indeed interesting. I think by depth they mean depth of the lot from front to back.

Thanks for adding the photos to this thread Mickey D! I was on my way out to the lake and was pressed for time.
Sorry this interesting item didn't get posted sooner. Hopefully in the fall my wrist will be up for posting all my other little goodies, so stay tuned. ;)
R-Guy, thanks for trying to get an original Rattlesnake Island flyer for me. You're the best!

I remmber back in the mid-1950's a group of us teenagers from Lake Shore Park camped out on Rattlesnake Island on more than one occasion. Melanson Realty of Wolfeboro had the lot numbers listed on little white metal signs nailed to the trees along the shore. When we camped on the island (one time at the summit, another time by the rock ledge on the SW shore), there were not any campsites developed. I wish my Dad had the foresight to have bought a bunch of the lots back then.
