My family has been to Winnipesaukee several times and has done the MS Mt. Washington (2 times) and Mail Boat. Can anyone recommend any other boating experiences in the area? It just seems silly to spend time there and not go out on one of the lakes. We have no boating experience, so renting one ourselves would not appear to be an option.

Thanks!

You could charter a fishing boat. I've seen them for $250 a half day and up, and that includes the guide/operator. If you don't want to fish, a guide may take you anyways, can't hurt to ask.

Check under lake links/fishing on this site.

Wild Meadow Kayak in Centre harbor on the water rents out kayaks and maybe small sailboats.

Both the Queen of Winnipesaukee, a two masted large sailboat, and the Winnipeaukee Water Tours 25'er left the Weirs for the ocean in Florida and Boston and presumably better business.

There's a tour (in an absolutely gorgeous reproduction of a Hackercraft triple cockpit wooden speedboat) that operates out of the Wolfeboro town docks, right next to where the Mount docks.

I've taken it and enjoyed it very much.
