Just curious if there are any new openings over the winter that we should know about. I love going to dinner by boat. One of my most favorite things to do, other than dinner on the boat.

Just curious if there are any new openings over the winter that we should know about. ... Bizer is not aware of any new restaurants. I drove around the lake about a month ago and didn't notice any. Bizer keeps a list of places-to-eat-by-boat at http://www.bizer.com/w2eat.htm. We welcome updates.

Yup... Didn't Cactus Jacks and T-bones just open up right next to Burger King at the end of Paugus Bay... The old "Bonanza" if that is how you spell it...

It doesn't look like Catus/T-Bones has a dock or is otherwise accessable by boat. Of course, it is a short walk from the fun floating docks at Burger King. Not that anyone would pass up a Whopper for a T-bone or a Margarita.

We better double check on that... I know, that down stairs from Bonanza used to be that yacht club... which I do not think that is there anymore...? I thought all of those docks we going to be used for T-bones/CJ's...? But I could be very well mistaken...:confused:

You are mistaken Alsobig, the yacht club is still there, Spinnaker Cove. Just a short walk from the BK docks to CJs/Tbones. Pretty good margaritas at CJs!

Well I tried CJ's today. I had to go on four wheels, no docks. They say that they approached Spinaker Cove YC about access through the club but I don't think they will have any luck. Too much risk and too little reward for SCYC.

The food was very good. Haddock Tacos were great and so were the BBQ tips. They have Mexican, Texas BBQ and Cajun food. Next time I'll try the Cajun. All the food we had was pretty mild, so if you like it spicy, ask them to zip it up.

And they do watch who is docking their! As well they should. They (BK) pay for and take care of the docks, for their restaurant guests. It would be like parking in the lot for TGIFridays and going across the street to Applebees. Not right - and annoying as all get out for those of us who are trying to get a space on the dock.

Those BK docks are pretty tough to walk on sober, I would not want to try them after a few Margaritas. Better stick to a Whopper and a shake.

Coe House re-opened with new ownership a couple of weeks ago and is very good.

Not too mention trying to keep the littlest ones away from the edges of the docks and the ducks from coming up and grabbing the fries (the dog is afraid of the ducks!)!

Still - its a weekly adventure - every guest we have loves to go by boat to the BK and then over to the sandbar! :D

Me thinks Bizer missed the thread in Resturants Infomation & Reviews section, regarding the Coe House ...Methinks you are correct. I did not know it had re-opened. I should have checked further after receiving the email.

Actually,the docks in Center Harbor are usually wide open due to no overnight parking,so The Coe House is easy walking distance and now open 7 days.Also the Red Hill drive-in is just a short walk to the right if you're in the mood for a lobster roll & clams.
