Hi Folks - you may remember me from last year's NHHS auction. The auction for the Animals is now an annual event and this year it will be May 20th held at the Belknap Mill in Downtown Laconia.

Last year was quite exciting, there was some serious bidding wars happening and some really amazing items to bid on.

I would like to ask each of you to look in to your attics, basements, closets, garages and hearts to see if there are items you would like to donate to this auction. Maybe you have a craft, hobby or particular talent and would like to donate one of your own creations to the auction. Maybe you own a business or know someone who does and you could solicit a gift certificate from the business to donate. All of these are great ways to contribute.

If you would like to contribute or know someone who would, please let me know of your items by the end of April. If you have photos of the items you can send me, that would be great. I would need to make arrangements with you to receive the item by May 12th. Please remember all donations are tax deductible.

In anticipation, I thank you for your time, consideration and contributions. If you are unable to contribute at this time, that's ok, maybe you will consider making a contribution at another point in time. Maybe you will join us on May 20th and be the winning bidder on some great items!!!

I thank you and all the animals at the shelter thank you!

I wasn't sure if I was going to have enough time to finish but by changing technique, I will have a 40" x 70" napping (cat napping?) quilt for your cause. The recent addition of cat #4 (Marty Gras Meezer of the New Orleans Meezers) has cut into my quilting time. Tough choice . . . play with kitty or quilt . . . play with kitty or quilt . . . hmmmm . . . "Here Kitty!":D I'll let you know when it is done.

"Marty" Gras Meezer

Marty says "Hi, ya'll! Living in a home is much better than living in a shelter. Please consider adopting a dog or cat. We will love you for it.":)

Thank you so much Quilt Lady. I know your quilts last year were in high demand. Bidding (in the silent auction) got pretty intense.

Marty is adorable. What a sweet face.

Shelter kitties and puppies really do appreciate having a forever home. They love their humans unconditionally and thank them every day for bringing them into their home and loving them. Sometimes they thank you by waking you up at 3 AM, sometimes they thank you by not giving you any room on the sofa and sometimes they thank you with a very loving look and hug.

Thank you so much and we can make arrangements for me to get the quilt. Hmmmm play with kitty or quilt - that's a tough one. But I bet kitty 'helps' you quilt.

The fur babies love you.

Here are our four shelter babies watching the neighbors kitties outside.

QL - Thank you sooooo very much. I see your beautiful quilt has received the highest award - the Marty seal of approval. He's quite the character and isn't at all camera shy.

I thank you and all the fur babies at the shelter thank you.

The shelter can use everyone's help.
