I know this is a "Winni Forum", but can someone please give me boat launch locations on Wiinisquam.

Also, I have been told that the State of NH is building a new boat launch on Winnisquam, near on or the property of Winnisquam Marina ? Any news about this ?

I don't think the launch is near Winnisquam Marina.... i am pretty sure the new launch will be located on the Winnipesaukee River just as it feeds into Winnisquam. Near Martels Sport Shop...

Woodsy is right, the only "public" launch is where the river feeds into Winnisquam, across from Martel's. I'm not sure if they have even started building it yet or are still in the approval phase.

Unfortunatly if the state launch isn't ready this summer and it may not be as others have mentioned, it will be the only true public access point. The last I knew it was still going though the red tape (talking to the guys at Winnisquam when I gave them my boat for the winter). However do try talking to them at Winnisquam Marine, I know they try to say there ramp is for there customer use only, but they are good guys and I have seen them bend thier rules. I would imagine if it is a one time deal while your on vacation they would help you out. I wouldn't push the issue and try to be a repeat customer though.... I said bend.... not break the Thier rules.....

I believe what maybe getting refered to here is the old ramp which use to belong to a convience store (I think) that the marina bought out and they now own that ramp....

I agree, the Crawford family and staff at Winnisquam Marine are very accomodating. It would be worth your while to ask their permission.

I think that there is also access across from the Shalimar on Rte. 3 in Tilton. I can't remember what they charge.

Good luck...

Thanks all for the information. I'll talk with th folks at Winnisquam Marine
about lauching my boat during my summer vacation.

FYI.... I happened to drop by Winnisquam Marine in February and spoke to the owner about his line of new boats. Can't remember his name, but he was very friendly and helpful. He actually gave me 4 "free" passes to the Worcester Boat Show, which is just about in my back yard.
Will check back with them in the Spring.

You probably talked with Ed Crawford, who is a heck of a guy. I bought my boat from last year and they have been great. Even covered a repair on my boat after their used boat warranty period was over. I searched and talk to many Marina well looking for my boat, and always felt the most comfortable deal with them at Winnisquam... which is probably we I bought my boat almost sight unseen....

PARKING AVAILABLE FOR BOAT TRAILERS AT LAKE WINNISQUAM

CONCORD, N.H. -- To provide boaters and anglers with free parking for boat trailers during the 2007 season at Lake Winnisquam, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department has leased a parking lot located at All-In-One Storage at 48 Winnisquam Avenue in Laconia as of April 1, 2007. Fish and Game is in the process of developing final plans to construct a public boat access facility at Water Street in Laconia. Until the project is completed, anglers and boaters who need public parking in order to fish Lake Winnisquam are encouraged to use the lot at All-In-One Storage to park their trailers. Boat launching will continue to be available for a fee at nearby Martel's Bait Shop. The parking lot will be open until October 1, 2007.

The Winnisquam Access site will be constructed on property that Fish and Game purchased in 2006, located within the Waste Treatment facility compound on Water Street. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2007. The Department wishes to stress that until the proposed boat access facility is completed at Water Street, boaters and anglers will not be able to access the lake at this location. The Waste Treatment facility compound is a fully secured site, and Fish and Game land within the compound is not open for public use at this time.

A lease for free trailer storage? Didn't Fish & Game previously announce they were broke and needed more money?
