Hey all,

I'm familiar with South Down Shores in Paugus Bay, but was wondering if there are any other condo communities around the lake?

My wife's parents are looking for a place similiar to South Down where they don't have to worry about landscaping and snow removal (her dad's health is poor) but still have a little privacy. He also loves to tinker around the house, so a community that has homes with attached garages would be ideal. We'd also like the condo to be either free standing on it's own or a duplex-type structure. We definitely don't want an apartment building.

Any info would be great.

Thanks.

Jk

With about 1100 condos and 100 private homes, running from $80,000. to 2,000.000., Waterville Valley has a big range of homes which all share a large athletic center, miles of sidewalks, indoor ice arena, cross coutry skiing, biking, and a ski area and elementary school grades k-8. It's 41 miles from WV to Meredith Town Docks.

If they aren't looking for something right on the water but might have a water view from up on high, I know there are a number of condo units for sale at Brookside Crossing in Gilford. They are all standalone units with 1-car garages.

Unfortunately there are a number of real estate agencies involved with the various units that are on the market, so I can't point you to just one.

My folks have lived there for almost 4 years and they like the fact that they don't have to do the shoveling/plowing in the winter nor the outside landscaping/yard work.

Brookside Crossing is located on Route 11 in Gilford, right across from one of the scenic overlooks located between Glendale and Ellacoya State Park. The overlook has a view of the Broads as do a few of the condo units.
