click here for the WOLFEBORO CARWASH CAM (http://www.lakewebcams.com/lakewebcams_070102/Slu/Washcam_page2.html)

cracks me right up!

If only they could move the carwash over a little we could see who is coming in and out of the liquor store!

I desperately want to see the Alton Bay cam, but when I click on it, all I get is a gray screen. My computer says it is "done" in the bottom left corner, but there is nothing there. Any ideas??? I have the same problem with the Wolfeboro Yacht Club cam.

You need tha JAVA application to run these CAMs GO to

http://www.java.com/

and download free Java

Both web CAMs may take some tiime to load depending on your computer.

The Alton Bay webcam and the Wolfeboro Yacht Club cams are Toshiba 11A cameras that seem to need an unsigned ActiveX add-on. With default settings, IE won't install this unsigned add-on. Even changing security settings to allow it isn't working for me.

Has anyone else figured out how to get this add-on to work?

Yup. that worked for me. I was getting the cams on my laptop but not on this clunky old desktop 'till I downloaded the Java. Works great now. Thanks FLboater!

Merrymeeting: I'm running Windows XP and it worked fine without changing any settings.

Ditto for me, I have ALL active-x blocked. Internet Exploder removed java in issue 6 (Thanks Mr Gates) so I had to download java for IE6. See both those cams fine without active-x.

Thanks McDude! That did it. I could have sworn I already had java installed. But guess I would have lost that bet!

Installing the Java whatever worked just fine. Now I can see everyone moving planes around on Alton Bay. Thanks so much. Almost feel like I am there, but not quite. :)

Hi,

Does anyone know what happened to the lakewebcams link mentioned in the first post of this thread? It was a nice jumping spot to all the Wolfeboro and Alton area webcams. But it, along with the car wash cam, seems to have disappeared.

Thanks

The original link was a test site... go to Spencer-Hughes website and you can get to the cams... you will also see them from the ice-out page at http://www.rattlesnakecam.com/iceout.htm. The pictures are not showing up yet... but the links work. (you will need Java on your machine for the live video feed to work).

Is the Spencer Hughes Wolfebcam working for anyone else. It's stopped working for me and just wondering if it's me or them. (Alton cam and club cam working fine)

It's not working for me either. ...so I think it's them. :D

Senter Cove Guy: Thanks for the new url. I missed the Carwash Cam!

My links for the Abanakee Cottages and Proctor's Cottages aren't working. Are they seasonal?

The Abakee and Proctor's cams change IP addresses from time to time and then the links do not work. I had to find the news ones and the pics on my Ice-Out Page now work... you can copy the shortcuts from there.

A new WolfeCam is up and running. Here's the link....

WOLFECAM (http://wolfecam.com/wolfecam.htm)

It is live streaming video of Wolfeboro Bay, soon there will be a zoom lens so that a closer picture of the the lake can be obtained in winter. In summer, it will be pulled when events such as antique boat and auto shows are back in this lot.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>

Currently, I am not getting the following cams to work; Abakee Cottages, Proctor's Lakeside Cottages, North Main St. Cam - Wolfeboro, Carwash Cam, and Corinthian Yacht Club. Does anyone have a url that works?

Is it the sun that makes it have an unclear picture or is it the camera?? If it is the sun I would think that they should think about another location for the camera. :)

It kinda looks as if the camera is screwed up like it is out of focus/contrast or something as the sun has gone to bed now.:)

The camera on the webcam page that you have listed as Corinthian Yacht Club, Wolfeboro should be Wolfeboro Corinthian Yacht Club (the proper name).

Otherwise great job of keeping this up, thanks for your efforts.
