Does anybody know if the database that records NH real estate transactions is publically available on the internet? Is there any way to find out what lakes region properties sold for without contacting an agent?

If you are checking on a specific property by address you can check the town tax card, they list sales. Also, www.nhdeeds.com can be searched by name of either the buyer or seller. If you look at the tax stamp on the deed and do the calculation you can figure out a sale price.
I believe there is a publication that is put out that lists all real esate transactions but can't think of the name of it. They usually will be in the paper as well.

There is a weekly publication available at most NH libraries called "The Registry Review"

You might also try the web site Zillow.com. It has a huge data base of over 64 million properties. If you know the address you type it in and it will show you are value range. It will also show you properties that have sold recently and what they sold for.
Zillow has no home data for NH yet. Try domania.com.

NHDEEDS is great and I use it frequently but Carroll County is not there as are some other counties.
Belknap County is: http://nhdeeds.com/belk/web/start.htm
