Blue-Green Algae

I was poking around Winni last weekend and noticed a sign at the Moultonborough town launch at Lees Mills that said something like "No Swimming -- Blue-Green Algae present". I, of course, checked online and the stuff is pretty nasty. Apparently, it is really a bacteria and not an algae which can release neurotoxins into the water that can cause skin irritation, vomiting, yadayada. Anyone know the current status in that area or other areas?

Ummm I think I agree with you Grant.....I have been noticing bad trends for several years now....like all the muck collecting on the bottom in front of my camp....

However the big question here is not what have we done to the lake, but rather what do we do to start cleaning her back up.....I live on Champlain durring the week...which got into horrible condition, but slowly they are cleaning her up....it takes time, and it time to start looking at ways to help start correcting the wrongs....
