'Thought that I would start a little something to make the season bright. 'Hope you like it and I hope that you will give us a Christmas present with your MERRY thoughts.

Now don't worry, you are alone by your keyboard and no one is looking or "listening". So just remember that when "Bing" gave us this he started out with ""City sidewalks, busy sidewalks....

So just follow the bouncing ball!!!!

CHRISTMAS TIME ON LAKE WINNI

Snow on boat docks
Snow on boardwalks
In the Lakeshore moonlight.
In the air there's a feeling
Of Christmas.

Boats are napping
In shrink wrapping
The white season is near.
And across the clear waters
You'll hear....

Chours:
Brass boat bells
Lakeshore swells,
It's Christmas time
On Lake Winni.

Snow flakes fall
Last loon's call.
Soon it will be
Christmas day.

Winni lovers
Like no others
Leave for homes
Far and near,
But the memories
Drift on
Through the seasons.

Though you wander
near and yonder,
You are not far away.
The Great Spirit
Smiles on us
Each day...

Chorus:
Brass boat bells
Lakeshore swells,
It's Christmas time
On Lake Winni.

Snowflakes fall
Last loon's call,
Soon it will be
Christmas day.
And God bless
All our friends
Far away....

Merry Christmas from

Deb's Joy and Misty Blue.

Wow. When I get the chance to take a morning jog the highlight is stopping in the middle of the town docks at 5:15 a.m. and enjoying this very thought that you put into words so elequently (except replace "snow" with "frost":( ). Thanks Misty!

And a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all on the forum.

Another fine piece of writing from our friend Misty. I agree with the other sentiments that you should put together a collection, crank up the ol Karaoke machine, and record an album of Winni Hits!!

I hope everyone has safe and wonderful holidays, and looking forward to 2007 on the Lake!!

peace -

Wow, despite my poor singing voice I tried it and it sounds wonderful. Not my singing, but the lyrics.

I want you to know that Santa is personally following this thread and promises snow in the near future. From what I have read of the snow gods, the human sacrifice requires a virgin, so that is going to be difficult. :D

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
