I have been Ice fishing in Meredith bay for 20 years. I have never had much luck except for one or two trout and a number of Salmon (illegal). I use the standard tip up with 2-4" shiners. I keep them anywhere from 10-200 ft. of shore and in no more than 30 ft. of water. I have tried putting the bait everywhere from the bottom to a few feet below the ice. Still I don't get more than one or two fish in a weekend and many times none. Anyone know a good book on Ice fishing or is perhaps willing to share some tips? Perhaps I am doing something wrong? Thanks.

Forget the book. Go to IceShanty.com, I'm on there. Same user name.

Just grab a cup of coffee and relax. There is a whole lot more info there than in any book. Lot's of great people and advice. Hmmm, reminds me of this site ;)
