Hi All,
I have numerous photos taken with my digital camera of neat artifacts and pieces of Winni history I have brought up from the depths of while diving. I'd like to post them on the Forum but they range in size from perhaps 300kb to about 1MB. I have tried witout success to mess with them in MS-Paint to reduce the file size to pass muster with the posting rules, but it just isn't working.

Any suggestions as to software I could buy (or Freeware?)
that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to simply get these things into a smaller file size? (as if I need more software).

Or-could I email them some Forum member who could reduce them, then mail them back to me so I can post them?

Thanks!

Mee-n-Mac summed it all up nicely with the links and advice contained here (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3641&highlight=compression+photo).

Good luck, looking forward to your photo gallery, :)

I've used this software for about six months....

Simple way to resize entire "batches" of pics off my digital camera... and it's free!

Although it's a list of viewers, most have some simple (and not so simple) image editting capabilities.

For a list of editors you might want to peruse this just to become even more confused. ;)
