Hi Guys and Gals,
I read in the "Citizen" (Tuesday Sept. 5th) the body of the poor soul that drowned on August 5th, off Rattlesnake Island, was recovered on Monday. Now his family can have closure. My prayers go out to his family, knowing they finally do have that closure. May he rest in Peace!

Not to be morose --- but were there any details?

Where?
By Whom?

I'm glad for the family --

Check out the articles called out in this post (http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/showthread.php?p=37256#post37256). He was found by a boater near Ship I, apparently not too far from where he was lost. He died saving another and now that he has been found I hope his family and fiancee can find some small solace in that.

Phantom, there's another whole thread under GD; title is "Drowning" and if you click on Linear Mode you can read the posts by date and time order. This is truly a blessing that Mr. Surrette surfaced; now his family can have an actual funeral this coming Friday vs. a memorial service. RIP Mr. Surrette!

Thanks all, found the other thread earlier.

Let's not forget the boater who found him eithor!

Although I have to admit I spent some time in the area with an "eye out" -- I can also tell you from personal experiance it can be pretty tramatic to actually be the one who found Mr Surrette. Hopefully he didn't have any young ones aboard with him.
